So my boyfriend came and got me after school and he updated me on what is going on.

Thus far, what we have gotten out of Brett is this: she took her pills for her ADHD at six yesterday morning. She then said that apparently she ‘forgot’ that she had taken them and took another dose again at eleven that morning. And then she took another double dose cause she ‘wanted to see what would happen’.

So essentially, she overdosed, and it was on purpose.

Right now, she is under an extreme spiritual attack. This all happened after she had a spiritual high this past weekend at camp with our church youth group. So we are certain that the devil is trying to bring her down. There are a lot more personal details, non of which I am really willing to spill over here. If any of you would like new details for prayer purposes, I will post a link to my Facebook page and you can ask me over there in a personal message, and I will tell you what I am comfortable with.

I would also really like it if you all could pray for me. I’m having a really hard time with this. I’m stuck at work tonight and I hate it. I am really cranky and feeling nauseous and I am just flat out angry with her. This was one hundred percent for attention, which I understand, but we have been working so hard on trying to help her feel better about herself and her situation. We started bringing her to church(my boyfriend and I) and tried to hang out with her more and stuff. She is practically like a little sister to me, and this really just rips my heart to shreds. If you could please pray peace and health and rest for me I would be extremely grateful.

So, I don’t have any updates on Brett right now, but my boyfriend has taken my car and is going to go in to the hospital. I will update y’all when I get an update which will likely be after school. Thank you guys for your prayers.

PS- for momlovesherkids (sorry for being so informal, for some reason I can’t remember your name:() she is fourteen years old. If you would like to know anything else just post to my ask, cause I am unsure of how to reply lol.

PPS- could guys also alongside of Brett, please pray for my boyfriends mom. She doesn’t take stress very well. So if you guys could just pray that she finds peace amongst all of this, that would also be much appreciated.

My boyfriend’s little sister, Brett, is in the hospital right now. First they were at the closest one, and them she got shipped to the special children’s hospital, the Stollery, in an ambulance.

From what I know, she took too many of her pills(by accident i think) which she takes for ADHD, so they have her heart racing like crazy and her blood pressure is through the roof. I’m not really sure of her condition right now, but I do know that she is in good hands at the Stollery.

If you guys could all please pray for her, I would be so grateful.
Thank you. :)

Isn’t It… Funny how a $20.00 bill looks so big when you take it to church, but so small when you take it to the mall. Funny how big an hour serving God looks and how small 60 minutes are when spent watching television, playing sports, sleeping or taking a lunch break. Funny how long a couple of hours spent at church are but how short they are when watching a good movie. Funny how we get thrilled when a football game goes into overtime, but we complain when a sermon is longer than the regular time. Funny how laborious it is to read a chapter in the Bible and how easy it is to read 200-300 pages of a best selling novel. Funny how we believe what newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how people scramble to get a front seat at a concert, but scramble to get a back seat at the church service. Funny how we cannot fit a gospel meeting into our schedule with our yearly planner but we can schedule for other events at a moment’s notice. Funny how we look forward to that big date on Friday night, but complain about getting up for church on Sunday morning. Funny how we are rarely late to work, but always late to church. Funny how we call God our Father and Jesus our brother, but find it hard to introduce them to our family. Funny how small our sins seem, but how big their sins are. Funny how we demand justice for others, but expect mercy from God. Funny how much difficulty some have learning the gospel well enough to tell others, but how simple it is to understand and explain the latest gossip about someone else. Funny how we can’t think of anything to say when we pray, but don’t have any difficulty thinking of things to talk about to a friend. Funny how we are so quick to take directions from a total stranger when we are lost, but are hesitant to take God’s direction for our lives. Funny how so many church goers sing “Standing on the Promises” but all they do is sit on the premises. Funny how people want God to answer their prayers, but refuse to listen to His counsel. Funny how we sing about heaven, but live only for today. Funny how people think they are going to Heaven but don’t think there is a Hell. Funny how it is okay to blame God for evil and suffering in the world, but it is not necessary to thank Him for what is good and pleasant. Funny how when something goes wrong, we cry, “Lord, why me?” but when something goes right, we think, “Hey, it must be me!” …Or wait…maybe all this isn’t so “funny” after all.

I need to listen to this song every morning. It always makes me feel amazing no matter how crappy I’m feeling. :)
